Kari has over a decade of experience working with young children in both classroom and library settings. Previously the literacy technician for our school, Kari has developed and implements high-quality language and literacy programming for the children and families at our school and within the Weinland Park community. Her passion is working to encourage language and literacy development across the curriculum through shared book readings, immersive art, and movement activities. Kari earned her associates degree with a focus in early childhood education in 2012 and is currently pursuing her bachelor’s degree in Child and Youth Studies from The Ohio State University. When not at work, Kari can be found chasing her daughter, reading in her hammock, or exploring the many parks around Columbus.
