Each year, the first full week of May is dedicated as national Teacher Appreciation Week and gives us a chance to publicly thank early childhood educators. The attentive, supportive and safe environments you create give children the best opportunities to learn during the critically important first five years of brain development. That’s why all of us here at the Schoenbaum Family Center and Crane Center for Early Childhood Research and Policy want to extend our deepest appreciation for what you do every day to care for our youngest learners, and especially through this past year when you continued to show up for children, families and your community in the most trying of times. Thank you.
We also want to extend a special recognition to the educators of our A. Sophie Rogers School for Early Learning. Your commitment to health and safety while maintaining high-quality practices and experiences demanded creativity, agility, commitment and grit. You’ve done a tremendous and impressive job, and we recognize and thank you.
