The A. Sophie Rogers School for Early Learning is marking National Teacher Appreciation Week from May 6 through May 10 with daily events to celebrate and support those who educate the school’s young students.
On Monday, May 6, teachers are receiving gift bags from The Ohio State University College of Education and Human Ecology, of which the school and the Schoenbaum Family Center are part. The following day (Tuesday, May 7), teachers are treated to a breakfast in the staff lounge prepared by the school’s nutrition and food preparation team.
Chair massages from massage therapists with The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center are available for teachers on Wednesday, May 8, along with an afternoon snack. The following day (Thursday, May 8), teachers are receiving gifts from the school and from the families of students, and on Friday, May 9, a catered lunch is provided for the school’s teachers.
Families are also encouraged throughout the week to bring a flower to a vase in the classroom and to write thank you notes — note cards are available at the school — to their children’s teachers.
