NEWS

End of the School Year Celebration Recap

Four rows of preschool children stand on small bleachers during a graduation ceremony. The back two rows contain the students going on to kindergarten, and these students are wearing red graduation robes and red mortar boards. The front two rows contain students continuing in preschool for the following year, and they are dressed in various clothes, with some of the girls wearing dresses, other girls in tops and pants, and boys in shirts and pants.
Kindergarten-bound students wore red caps and gowns during the End of Year Celebration ceremony.
A family stands under an arch of balloons, with red balloons on the left, white balloon on top, and black balloons on the right. The family consists of a man with bald head and glasses who has his arm around an elementary-school-aged girl. Next to the girl is an older woman wearing a bright pink hat and a cream-colored patterned dress, and next to the older woman is a younger woman with glasses, a black-and-white patterned dress and a mauve jacket. In front is a small girl in a red cap and gown holding a certificate.
Families came to celebrate the achievements of their child.

Thank you to all of our families and teachers who make ASR such a special place where we can learn together!  We enjoyed celebrating the accomplishments of our kinder-bound classmates, sharing treats from Chef Mark, creating art together and learning about farm animals!  Kinder-bound students may have different last days at ASR over the summer, so it was wonderful to have the opportunity to celebrate together, and to reflect upon all of the learning and friendships we have developed.

2025-2026 Calendar

A calendar of school closure days for the upcoming school year, including holidays and professional development, is now available online. A paper version was sent home in mailboxes in May. Bookmark this calendar on your computer, and you can also download the PDF of the paper version to print at home.

Teacher Appreciation Week

Three smiling women hold small, red paper shopping bags with tags and crepe paper inside.
From left, teachers Camille Chernitsky, Claudia Ellerbrock, and Madison Page pick up gifts.
A smiling woman sits on the floor petting a small, cream-colored curly-coated dog laying on its side.
Teacher Cindy Egelhoff enjoys a visit with Buckeye Paws therapy dog Violet.

Thank you to all who contributed to the group teacher gifts and/or provided a treat or token of appreciation to our outstanding early childhood educators!  With your support, each teacher was provided with a Starbucks gift card, a book in their favorite genre and their favorite snacks!  In addition, teachers enjoyed a catered lunch, special snacks and desserts from Chef Mark and a visit from BuckeyePaws therapy dog Violet.
