Stop in the library after dropping off your child between 8:30-9:30 a.m. Wednesdays for coffee, tea and muffins to chat with other families and school staff.
Parents and caregivers can volunteer with Chef Mark in the school’s garden from 2-4 p.m.
Teacher Appreciation Week: Take time to write your child’s teachers a note of appreciation! We are going to be celebrating our teaching staff all week long. If you would like to volunteer to help us prepare our gifts of appreciation for our teachers, please reach out to Sarah at Simpson.962@osu.edu.
Professional Development Day
Authors Carmela Van Vleet and Chiquita Mullins Lee will be visiting ASR to present a program about their book, You Gotta Meet Mr. Pierce. All children will receive this book as their monthly book club book and are welcome to bring them to the program to have the book signed by the authors.
Learn about healthy eating and growing with Carol Smathers, Associate Professor and OSU Extension Field Specialist. Take home a plant to put in your own garden!
Memorial Day
End of year celebration from 4 – 5:30 p.m. Meet Pete the Cat, pick up some free books, sign up for CML’s summer reading program, and eat some delicious snacks made by Chefs Mark and Joe. Kids that are transitioning to kindergarten will receive a small backpack with school supplies and a book.

Week of the Young Child
Thank you to families for participating in our Week of the Young Child activities from April 3-7. We had many fun adventures throughout the week including making box forts with friends and contributing to the “I love my family because…” board.
Best Wishes to Kyanna Johnson and Marcel Jacobs, graduating ASR School Psychology Interns
Marcel and Annie’s year at our school as School Psychology interns ends with the conclusion of spring semester this month. We thank Kyanna and Marcel for work with children and families in our school with classroom observations, interventions and assessments! They also developed presentations and handouts on Social Emotional Development, Guidance and Discipline and Math and Science Learning; these will be available during May family conferences. Our school will host new student interns in the fall!

Wexner Center Galleries are always free to the public.
Visit CML’s Northside Branch to check out a Culture Pass with your library card. This gives free family admission to many local attractions such as COSI, the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium, and the Ohio History Connection.
