Library Update
Guest readers Miss Cameron, SFC Operations Director, and Mr. Craig, ASR parent, joined us for special family storytimes celebrating Juneteenth and Pride. Family storytime attendees enjoyed crafts and stories celebrating the diverse cultures and identities of our school’s families.
Hispanic Heritage Month begins September 15th, so if there are families who would like to share an aspect of their culture or heritage via a family engagement program, please contact Sarah via email at Simpson.962@osu.edu or in person in the library.
New shelving will be installed in the library in the first half of July so the library may be temporarily closed while this happens. Please stop by and check out the new furniture and shelving after it is installed!
School year 2023-2024 calendar
A paper copy of the school year calendar was distributed in all mailboxes and can also be found here. The school calendar is available on the website and upcoming events are linked on the website monthly calendar as well.
School Water Day Fun
Summertime means water days! During the months of June, July and August, classrooms will follow the schedules below for water days. We have fun in shallow baby pools, sprinklers and water toys on the playground and in the courtyards.
Please send swimwear, including waterproof shoes, for your child. We will provide towels. Teachers will wash swimwear after every water day and they will be kept in your child’s cubby. If your child arrives later than 9:30 am on assigned water days, please plan time to get them changed into their swimwear using the classroom bathroom as we may already be outside!
